The mid-range GPU market in 2026 is more competitive than ever. NVIDIA and AMD have both released compelling options that deliver excellent 1440p and even 4K gaming performance. In this head-to-head comparison, we break down every aspect of these two cards to help you make the right choice.

Specifications Overview

The RTX 5070 features the new Blackwell architecture with 6144 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR7 memory on a 192-bit bus, and a TDP of 220W. On the AMD side, the RX 8800 XT uses RDNA 5 architecture with 4096 stream processors, 16GB of GDDR6X memory on a 256-bit bus, and a TDP of 230W.

Rasterization Performance

In traditional rasterization, both cards trade blows depending on the title. Upscaling Technologies
